How it works
Đâu at the end of a negative sentence strengthens it: Tôi không biết đâu 'I really don't know', Không đắt đâu 'It's not expensive at all'. It often reassures or contradicts: Không sao đâu 'It's really fine'. Đâu alone before a verb also negates rhetorically: Tôi đâu có biết! 'How would I know! / I didn't know at all'. Mistake: reading đâu here as 'where'; or using it with positive statements (Tôi biết đâu ✗ unless you mean 'who knows').
