How it works
Đến nỗi / đến mức (also tới mức) link an intensity to its result: 'so … that': Anh ấy mệt đến nỗi ngủ quên trên xe 'He was so tired that he fell asleep on the bus'. Đến mức is more neutral/formal; đến nỗi often hints at a bad result. Quá… nên is a simpler alternative. Không đến nỗi = 'not that (bad)': Không đến nỗi tệ 'Not that bad'. Mistake: copying English 'so' with rất… nên (sounds weak) or putting đến nỗi before the adjective.
