How it works
Đấy at the end draws attention to information — 'you know', 'there you go', 'I'm telling you': Cẩn thận, nóng đấy! 'Careful, it's hot!' In questions it softens: Anh đi đâu đấy? 'Where are you off to?' Southern: đó. Combinations: đấy nhé (warning), thế đấy 'that's how it is'. Mistakes: confusing it with đấy = 'that/there' as a demonstrative, or using it rudely to superiors as a warning.
