How it works
Nhỉ at the end invites agreement, like 'isn't it?' / 'don't you think?': Hôm nay nóng nhỉ 'Hot today, isn't it?' With a question word it means 'I wonder': Tên anh ấy là gì nhỉ? 'What was his name again?' Southern: nhỉ ~ ha / há. Compare nhé (suggestion, 'OK?') — mixing them is the classic error: Mai gặp nhỉ ✗ → Mai gặp nhé.
