How it works
Between two actions, rồi means 'and then': Tôi ăn sáng rồi đi làm 'I have breakfast and then go to work'. Rồi sao? 'And then what?' Sau đó 'after that' is a more explicit alternative. Compare final rồi 'already' (A2): position decides — rồi between verbs = then; at the end = already. Mistake: using và rồi everywhere; và alone does not show order, rồi does.
