How it works
Đi at the END of a sentence urges or invites: Ăn đi! 'Go on, eat!', Nói đi 'Tell me', Chúng ta đi thôi / Mình về đi 'Let's go home'. It is friendly and casual; with seniors add ạ or use mời. Don't confuse it with đi 'to go' as a main verb: Đi đi! = 'Go away / go on, go!'. Mistake: putting this đi before the verb, or using it in a polite request to a stranger — it can sound bossy.
